How the Winners Are Chosen
For the purpose of assessing papers submitted for the competition, the Organizing Committee will establish subject committees for every respective subject area. Each research paper should be reviewed by two experts, acting independently of each other. Following the expert assessment, members of the subject committees will then determine the winners. The results in each of the competition fields shall be ratified according to each subject committee meeting's minutes, signed by the chairperson of the respective committee. The names of independent experts are confidential and will not be published, while the resolutions of subject committees cannot be disputed by competition participants.
In each category, there are winners (no more than five), as well as laureates (the number of whom should not account for over 10% of the total number of papers submitted to the competition in a given category). The number of awarded papers in each nomination shall be set by the Organizing Committee, based on the total number of papers submitted in a given category, and approved as per the Organizing Committee's minutes prior to choosing the winners. The Organizing Committee shall draw up the final minutes for the competition, listing its winners and laureates with the titles of their research papers. The final document will be signed by the Organizing Committee's chairperson – First Vice Rector Vadim Radaev .
The list of winners and laureates will be published on the HSE University website in December 2025.
